Marinaded Steak Salad

This is a budget friendly steak salad made with the best steak marinade! Since we are marinading the meat you can use a tougher cut / lower cost slice of steak for this meal without sacrificing flavor & taste!! It’s an easy and healthy weeknight meal for your family!

What kind of steak to use for this recipe and how long should I marinade it?

  • Flank Steak, sirloin, skirt steak, or eye of round steak all work great

  • I like to marinade over night for ease, but anywhere from 6 - 24 hours will give it great flavor and tenderize the meat

  • A boneless and lean cut is inexpensive and ideal when tenderizing with this marinade before grilling. I would not recommend using Filet Mignon, Ribeye or even a New York Strip as these are more tender cuts of meat and have great beef flavor and fat content on their own. If you do prefer to use them and want more than a salt & pepper seasonings, I would suggest marinading anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours. You don’t want to tenderize the meat too long as it will start to break down the fibers of the meat
